Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present quarter corner bears S43.3°W from T13S R8E S35 [T14S R8E S2] SC 1/4 COR, WAYPOINT WMTAQK, which is 153' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe in a collar of stones; about 2" below grade
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: Found two snags each with a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign. The large
ponderosa pine in the SE quadrant also has a BEARING TREE ribbon and an additional yellow BEARING TREE tag. Cleared brush in the area and taped from the snags. No other accessories were found.
What property is this mark defining?: The corner, with WAYMARK WMTAQK, defines a hiatus between T13S R8E S35 and T14S R8E S2 due to irregularities in GLO surveys; see also Survey CS#00007 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
