EN: The cemetery of Hölstein is located in the southern part of the churchyard, surrounded by a wall. Today, it has are about 150 graves in it.
The church was rebuilt around 1590 on the site of an older chapel. The cemetery is presumably older, as an adjoining building is called a former ossuary in a document, which means that a cemetery must have been here before the Reformation.
DE: Der Friedhof von Hölstein befindet sich im südlichen Teil des von einer Mauer umgebenen Kirchhofs. Heute befinden sich etwa 150 Gräber darin.
Die Kirche wurde um 1590 an der Stelle einer älteren Kapelle neu gebaut. Der Friedhof ist vermutlich älter, da ein Nebengebäude in einem Dokument als ehemaliges Beinhaus bezeichnet wird, was bedeutet, dass hier schon vor der Reformation ein Friedhof gewesen sein muss.
