Ozburn Hollow
Robert Ozburn was born in 1755 in york County, PA, where his family settled after emigrating from Scotland. The family moved to Mecklenburg, NC, where he enlisted in the NC Militia and served in several companies during the Revolutionary War including one commanded by his brother, Capt. James Ozburn. He brought his wife, Jane, and his children to Williamson County in 1806. Robert died July 8, 1834 and Jane followed on February 27, 1843. Their children were John Wiley Ozburn, Noble Ozburn, Jennett Ozburn, Thomas Ozburn, James Ozburn, Martha Ozburn, and Jane Ozburn. Family members are buried in the Ozburn Cemetery near here. Decendants of Robert Ozburn have lived in this area since his settlement here.
