This Freemason lodge is found in the historic Old Strathcona neighbourhood of Edmonton. It was founded in 1897.

The lodge was founded by Alexander C. Rutherford, who would become, in 1905, the first Premier of the new Province of Alberta as it joined Canada. The cornerstone of the building was laid on August 24, 1929.
