From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 11.6 miles. Turn left onto FR2066, and then bear left on FR2067 in about 0.2 miles. Continue 2.9 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe; rising 5"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner bears S, about 280' downhill from the centerline of the road. Found two snags with scribed, partly healed blazes. The one in the NW quadrant has a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. There is also a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which bears N, 20" distant.
What property is this mark defining?:
The corner is on the Third Standard Parallel South and, with WAYMARK WMTB38, defines a hiatus between T13S R8E S35 and T14S R8E S2 due to irregularities in GLO surveys; see also Survey CS#00007 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
