From WAYMARK WMT8NV, walk 0.5 mile W to the present corner.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 5"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
Did not search for bearing trees in thick brush, mostly Ceanothus. Found a 1-1/2x1/2x29" tall lath stake adorned with old flagging tape and the original corner stone, painted blue. An orange Carsonite witness post with a PROPERTY BOUNDARY decal bears S, 18" distant. Also found PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on a U-post which bears E, 36" distant.
What property is this mark defining?:
Dutch Pacific Resources property SE of the corner, else Deschutes National Forest; see also USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 13 South, Range 8 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 23, 1966
