The lookout tower on Šibenicní vrch was built and is operated by the Association for the development of the lookout tower in Horšovský Týn. its construction occurred from October, 2009 until April. 2010. The project included the development of the Horšovský Týn Museum and pedestrian path with six resting spots. Tke lookout provides a view of Horšovský Týn. Šumava, and the Bohemian Forest. It is freely accessible from April 1st until Oct. 31st.
