I found no further information on John Kirk - I'm really curious as to the aviation accident.
This grey granite slab headstone is located in the San Jose Burial Park. The headstone features an airplane with John Kirk's name written on the wing. There is also a carving of a crashed airplane. The text of the headstone reads:
