Concrete pillar with steel top plate on top of short rock cut on southeast side of riddell drive, 1.6 km northeast of junction with county road 9 (dunrobin road), 2.55 km southwest of road to "dnd connaught range", 23.5 m northeast of northeast end of "national geodetic baseline" sign, 17.5 m southwest of centre of approach, 14.8 m from centreline of road, 1.9 m southeast of power line, about 1 m above road level. Elevation taken on top at centre of main circular plate anchored on top of pillar.
