The dates on the timeline are 1870, circa 1890, early 1900's, 1900-1910, circa 1918, 1930, 1951, early 1970's, Spring 1972, Summer 1972, 1998, 2001. The surrounding buildings keep changing. The first photo shows a furniture store, a house and a blacksmith shop. The early 1900's shows 2 blacksmith shops and a livery and a roller rink. 1950 shows work on the roof. The 1970's show the restoration. 1998 is a second restoration and landscaping of the surrounding area. 2001 is the bridge today.

There is also a photo of the couple responsible for saving the bridge, Marie and Grant Musser, in matching outfits. They have been given the title "Keepers of the Covered Bridge".

The "Did You Know" lists various facts. It was originally more economical to cover a bridge to protect it from the weather. This is the last covered bridge in Tompkins County.
