Binnaway is a small rural village which established the free caravan & camping area as a service to those travelling on less busy roads & as a means to attract custom to local businesses. It has the best facilities of those I have seen this trip. Located behind a small park & beside the Castlereagh River, it has powered sites (small fee), shade, an amenities block, picnic benches & BBQ, generators can be used until 10 pm, dogs on leash allowed & you can stay 3 days & more by arrangement.
