Znak mesta Utery - Utery, Czech Republic - Coats of Arms on Waymarking.com

Ke vzniku vesnice Úterý se váže povest, podle níž osadu založili nemectí horníci (kterí byli povoláváni Premyslovci, aby místní lid ucili remeslum). Povest ríká, že jeden z horníku zabloudil v lesích okolo dnešního Úterý a protože už byl bloudením unavený, tak usnul. Zdál se mu sen o tom, že najde velké nalezište zlata. Když se vzbudil, uvidel havrana, který v zobáku držel zlatý prsten. Horník sledoval, kde havran prsten pustí. Na tom míste pak horník opravdu našel zlato. Z této povesti je odvozen také znak Úterý, na nemž je ve zlatém poli zobrazen krácející havran se zlatým prstenem v zobáku a nad ním je vyobrazeno paroží s hrabecí korunou.
