The small village of Avalanche, Wisconsin is nestled in an area which features amazing coulees and trout streams. In this area the trout streams run into the Kickapoo River. This bridge spans the West fork of the river just West of where Highway S meets Avalanche Road. There is very nice parking on the South side of the road just West of the bridge. The disk was set by the US Department of the Interior as a reset for a previous disk that was destroyed during bridge construction. The current disk was set in 1979 and has no on-line data sheet, but I was able to find it on a the Wisconsin Control Finder.
