Goondiwindi is a prosperous town on the Queensland/NSW border & is at the junction of five highways & major roads. The cemetery is very well maintained & council staff were busy when I visited today. It has a monumental section, modern graves & a lawn cemetery. Many of the graves of pioneers are unmarked & a large three sided wall which was a project of the historical society lists their names, age & date of death.
You pass under the sign when entering the cemetery. The words have been cut out of steel plate.
