This speeder is on display in front of the old Fort Saskatchewan train station.
The first train arrived in Fort Saskatchewan on November 8, 1905. It signaled new prosperity - a means of bringing settlers and businesses to the town and a way of sending wheat and other products to market. It is likely that this speeder was replaced in the late 1900s by a pick-up truck.
The Kinsmen Club and Fort Saskatchewan Heritage Society have raised funds to preserve the station and railway equipment.
