Church of the Icon of the Kazan Mother of God was opened in Nizhny Novgorod

The history of the revival of the Kazan church is connected with the approval of the new holiday - National Unity Day, celebrated on November 4th. The temple was founded November 3, 2005 the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II during his visit to Nizhny Novgorod to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the Kazan Mother of God and the Day of National Unity.
