Immaculata High School opened as an all-girls Catholic school in 1929. The school's Dr. D. A. Kearns Memorial Wing opened in 1948. A convent was constructed immediately to the north of the school in 1954. The high school would eventually expand to include the convent building. In 1994, Immaculata High School relocated to the former Oblates buildings at 140 Main Street.

In 2016, the former school buildings are occupied by the Bronson Centre, a community centre collective composed of many non-profit agencies and charities.
