This building in the Bells Corners area of Nepean began as the home of the Capital View Community Church.
In 1989, this congregation of the Christian and Missionary Alliance began as a church planted by the Ottawa Chinese Alliance Church. The then named Kanata Chinese Alliance Church gathered in a Pentecostal Church and then in a public school. By 1995, this congregation shared this building with the aforementioned community church.
In 1996, the congregation became the Emmanuel Alliance Church of Ottawa and took over ownership of the present building.
