From 1897 to 1904 the Youngmann Brother's Meat and Sausage Factory rented space on North Water Street in Sparta, Wisconsin. They had such great success that in 1905 they had enough money to build their own building. This building served as their butcher shop from 1905 to until at least 1931. They moved an older building to the rear of this one and used it as a slaughter house. Years afterwards Sears moved in and used this building as an authorized catalog dealer shop. Today this building houses Second Season Clothing Consignment Store. The building is in amazing shape and still has L.J. Youngmann's name imprinted very clearly.
