EN: The school house West is located not far from the old town of Brig in an area that was overbuilt in the late 19th century. I could not find any specific details on the history of the building.
The building is still a primary school today. The side entrances, which are labeled with girls' school and boys' school, however, have not been used gender separated anymore for a long time.
DE: Das Schulhaus West befindet sich unweit der Altstadt von Brig in einem Gebiet, das im späten 19. Jahrhundert überbaut wurde. Details zur Baugeschichte konnte ich nicht finden.
Das Gebäude ist auch heute noch eine Primarschule. Die Seiteneingänge, die mit Mädchenschule und Knabenschule beschriftet sind, werden aber schon lange nicht mehr geschlechtergetrennt benutzt.
