The witches tower (Hexenturm) was part of the medieval town fortification of Treysa. It was once also used as a prison.

Der Hexenturm ist der einzige noch fast vollständig erhaltene Rundturm der mittelalterlichen Stadtbefestigung von Treysa. Der ehemals überdachte Turm wurde im oberen Bereich zur Verteidigung des Stadttores und im unteren Bereich als Verlies genutzt.
