The Killman Zoo is a small zoo located near Caledonia Ontario. The zoo is situated on 33 acres of land and has been open to the public since 1988. It claims to have 35 different species of animals including one of the largest collections of big cats in Ontario.

There are indeed many cats and other animals to be observed, include a dozen African lions, a pair of tigers, a few other large cat breeds and a number of smaller cats (bobcat, lynx, cougar). They also have a single black bear, and more exotic animals such as snow monkeys. The park is arranges along a single trail that winds around pens and is mostly beneath a canopy of deciduous trees. Interaction with zoo keeps and the owners is easy given the small size of the zoo. Despite the concerns raised by some with respect to this zoo, the animals appeared relaxed and comfortable and healthy. For example, this female lion had was comfortable enough to sleep in such as position while less than 10 feet from the main trail.

In the 70's, Murray Killman owned and operated Killman's Wildlife Sanctuary. Natural progression and love drove this facility to become "The Killman Zoo" and officially open their doors to the public on April 1st, 1988.

Since opening in 1988, the zoo has grown in size and has acquired many rare species of endangered animals.

Our patrons love the natural setting which consists of 7 acres of peaceful winding trails, ponds, and the shade of many trees.

The Killman Zoo is truly one of Ontario's best-kept secrets. We have one of the largest collections of Big Cats in Ontario. Our spacious two acre run is complete with a pond for our big cats to enjoy.
