There is no public access to the fleet so I took the photograph from the navigation marker on Bagley Point at the southern entrance to the harbour. You cab drive or walk on the breakwall to the point passing Mackay Marina.
The fleet trawls for fin fish & prawns using nets & long lines. The catch is sold locally & you can purchase a meal or a fish or prawn burger at one of the many cafes beside the marina. The harbour was built between 1936 & 1939 with many extensions since then.
