Cracow owes its existence to gold mining, with the Golden Plateau Mine operating from 1931 to 1976. The mine site was reopened in 2004 by Newcrest Mining however the town hasn't changed. The park offers the traveller shady trees, a flower garden, mining relics, a small playground, a rustic BBQ & modern amenities.
