There are several ghost signs in Cracow, a ghost mining town. Some are quite difficult to discern with this one being the most difficult. One can make out Billiard & Saloon but not the owner's name. I visited the only business in town, the Hotel Cracow & the lass behind the bar confirmed it was a billiard saloon.
Cracow owed its existence to a large gold mine on the edge of town which was opened in 1931 & operated until 1976. It reopened in 2003 however the town is little changed due to the mine having its own camp & workers living in nearby larger towns.
