There are several ghost signs in Cracow, a ghost mining town. Some are quite difficult to discern however this was a Self Service Store run by McMasters. Cracow owed its existence to a large gold mine on the edge of town which was opened in 1931 & operated until 1976. It reopened in 2003 however the town is little changed due to the mine having its own camp & workers living in nearby larger towns.
A self service store was the fore runner to supermarkets. The building appeared vacant however may be a residence with the satellite dish on the roof.
