Dade County Courthouse is located at 73 W. Flagler Street, Miami. Designed by architects A. Ten Eyck Brown and August Geiger, the Neoclassic Revival style Dade County Courthouse was built around an original domed courthouse between 1925 and 1929. Originally the building housed both city and county offices with their jails on the upper tower floors. The courthouse bears a striking resemblance to the Los Angeles City Hall, also designed by A. Ten Eyck Brown. Very large black birds (vultures?) circle its peak. The photo shows the extensive hurricane damage to the windows and vegetation.
Instructions for logging waymark: a photograph is required that shows you (or your GPS receiver, if you are waymarking solo) and the place.
