EN: The ruin of the "Maria Hilf" chapel stands a few hundred meters south of the hamlet of Gabi on the Stockalper hiking trail along the old transit route of the 17th century. The foundation walls are still about 1.5 meters high. The quadrangular ground plan of the chapel measures about five to ten meters.

The history of the chapel is only partially documented and some data are contradictory. It was probably built in the early 18th century. In 1736, it was explicitly mentioned but in a list of 1704 it does not appear yet. However, there is still a document from 1687, which may refer to a previous building. The chapel was located along the mule track, which was an important trans-alpine connection in the 17th century. With the expansion of the pass road under Napoleon around 1805, the line layout was moved northwards and the chapel became abandoned. In 1815 a new chapel was built near the new street in Gabi, and in 1887 the bishop ordered to demolish the dilapidated building. The remaining foundation walls were presumably conserved in the 1990s, when the old trade route was again made passable as a cultural hiking trail.
