Der Hubschrauberlandeplatz, der sich auf dem Dach des Bettenhauses befindet und mittlerweile zu den höchsten Punkten des Klinikums gehört, hat eine Fläche von knapp 630 Quadratmetern. Er ist damit fast doppelt so groß wie der alte. „Die neuen EU-Richtlinien sehen vor, dass die heutigen Landeplätze deutlich größer sein müssen und zudem in exponierter Lage errichtet werden sollen. Das Klinikum hat darauf reagiert“, sagte Architekt Dieter Hof, dessen Koblenzer Firma für die Planung des Neubaus zuständig war. Die Rettungshubschrauber können, das ist ebenfalls neu, künftig auch bei Eis und Schnee sicher auf dem Dach landen. Der Grund: Eine sogenannte Baukernaktivierung sorgt dafür, dass die Betonoberfläche des Landesplatzes mit Hilfe von Erdwärme beheizt werden kann. Die Helikopter haben quasi ihre eigene Fußbodenheizung. Beim alten Landeplatz, der noch lange benutzt wurde, bis das neue Bettenhaus und die darin befindlichen medizinischen Versorgungsräume offiziell in Betrieb waren, musste Schnee und Eis noch mit Muskelkraft beseitigt werden. Der Hubschrauberlandeplatz ist über einen Fahrstuhl direkt mit dem Diagnostikgeschoss verbunden. Hier sind alle Abteilungen, die für die Notfallversorgung erforderlich sind, zentral auf einer Ebene angesiedelt. Dadurch können Patienten noch schneller untersucht und behandelt werden. (mabe)
