In Amherst, on the Amherst College campus, is the Beneski Natural History Museum, with many dinosaur related items in their collection, including a full skeleton of this carnivore.
The museum is located on the campus, near the center of Amherst. The entrance is off Mass. Route 9. From the center travel east about a block, then turn right at a sign for the museum. Find parking along a road. This might be a challenge since construction of a new science center was underway at the time of visit. Admission is free.
The natural history museum has three levels. The dinosaur is on the bottom level near the base of a stairway. It is a life-size skeleton of a T-Rex type dinosaur (unfortunately, I didn't write down the information below in the tag, below. The background both provides support to the bones and gives a hint of what the dinosaur looks like when 'fleshed out.'
There is another skeleton of a much smaller dinosaur nearby - possibly a juvenile. Also, there is a head of a triceratops. In the next room are slabs of rock that are fossilized dinosaur tracks. Elsewhere are slabs with fossils of small dinosaurs imprinted.
For the dinophile, this is a place not to miss!
