EN: This old gas station is located on the eastern edge of Simplon village. Two dispensers and a small cabin stand right on the edge of the road. There is no sign or other information, but the gas station is still in operation. The gas station probably dates from the 1950s, when the pass road was expanded. Since the end of the 1970s, the village center of Simplon is bypassed, so the best times for this gas station were over.
DE: Diese alte Tankstelle befindet sich am östlichen Rand von Simplon Dorf. Zwei Zapfsäulen und eine kleine Kabine stehen direkt am Strassenrand. Es gibt kein Schild oder andere Hinweise, aber die Tankstelle ist noch in Betrieb. Die Tankstelle stammt vermutlich aus den 1950er Jahren, als die Passstrasse ausgebaut wurde. Seit Ende der 1970er wird der Dorfkern von Simplon umfahren, damit waren auch die besten Zeiten für diese Tankstelle vorbei.
