I spent many a day here when I was younger fishing from the wharf with my best friend. Later in my teens I would go down to meet the scallop fleet when it came in and make a little extra money shucking scallops right at the wharf. Back in the day the boats were allowed to do the shucking right at the wharf but now they're forced to do it away from port because of the environmental damage.
The Digby Wharf is home to the world famous scallop fishing fleet. The famous Digby scallop is shipped world-wide and available fresh and tasty in many of the local restaurants.
