There's 'Temple of Mother of God' church, purchased and renovated in 2006 and the home of the Russian Orthodox community, located at the so-called 'Judenhof' in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

The history of the Russian Orthodox community in Ulm started in 1948 at the chapel of St. Valentina. In 1994 the chapel was not able to accommodate all who want to pray. The people stood on the street, listening to the service through the open door of the chapel. So there was an urgent need for a building that could accommodate the members of this community.

In 2006, close to the chapel in the center of Ulm, they purchased this building, which was formerly owned by the local Baptist congregation. The state of the community building was terrifying: dampness and mold in the basement room, almost a failed sewer system. All the rooms were in need of repair. Special attention was required to pay the new parish equipment rooms, warehouses. In improper condition were electrical networks, communications, gas and water supply. A lot of time had to be spent on removing accumulated mold on the walls of rooms and the fight against dampness.

At November 1, 2006, the building was inaugurated, and the church was filled to the last place. Now the community has a new church not far away from the small chapel, with which it all started.
