The weathervane is on the south-east corner of this large, late C14th west tower. The tower has a large three-light west window and grotesque gargoyles. Built on a plinth and with four stages each with a string course the diagonal buttresses and the plinth have chequer patterning in flushwork. The ringing chamber at the first stage and reached by a spiral stair at the south-east corner of the tower has an original floor supported on massive arch braces and corbels carved with grotesques. The bell chamber, with a ring of six bells, is at the fourth level and has a two-light opening on each side. The parapet is crenellated.
