It appears that Mr. Pete's is no longer with us, as there is a "For Lease" sign at the front door, but the mural is still catchy, on the south side of the building. There is a dark green border, and the background is a much lighter green. The focus is an old red truck -- Sanford and Son comes to mind! -- with "Mr. Pete's Mercantile" on its door. The mural references things that Mr. Pete's sold, with an accompanying graphic: Furniture, a rocking chair; ammo, a bullet; cupcakes, three flavors of cupcakes; balloons, three different colored balloons; pickled products, a jar of something pickled; finally, candy is accompanied by three pieces of candy. The author's name, "David Riddle 903-707-4779" is in the lower corner of the main section.
