"Construction of Hotel InterContinental Ljubljana has officially begun today (24/12/2015) in the space between Slovenska and Tivolska cesta and Dvorzak Street. The event was attended by Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Jankovic, representatives of InterContinental Hotels Group and representatives of Delta Holding. On this occasion a construction plaque was revealed, with the sentence „By constructing the building, we build our friendship“ engraved in Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian language.

InterContinental Ljubljana will be the first five-star hotel in the capital city of Slovenia. It will have 165 rooms, 2 banquet halls, a spa centre with a swimming pool and a fitness zone as well as a presidential suite. On the top 21st floor there will be a restaurant with a panoramic view of Ljubljana.

The Intercontinental Hotel in Ljubljana is planned to open officially in spring 2017."
