The Imperial hotel was built in 1900 & occupies a corner position on the town's main street.
The town's early prosperity was founded on the highly productive wheat and pastoral industries. Those industries continue but now-a-days Manilla has become famous throughout the world as a major sports flying centre. It supports paragliding, hang gliding, sail planes & ultra lights.
The pub has been recently renovated with new beds & air conditioning. It has a bar, poolroom, beer garden & bistro.
