Looking at the exterior of the Palace of Westminster is one comprehensive history lesson, if you can read the symbols. In use since Medieval times, destroyed by fire in 1834, rebuilt, damaged in WWII and restored over several decades since, nothing is on this building just for giggles. EVERYTHING carved into the stones of the exterior (and interior) of this great building has meaning.
The waymark coordinates are for the Peer's Entrance to the Palace of Westminster, but for purposes of a visit we will accept any personally-obtained photograph of the Portcullis CoA in Westminster Palace.
The Crowned Portcullis has been a symbol of Westminster and Parliament for centuries,m but was only formally awarded by Queen Elizabeth II in 1996. See: (

Hundreds of depictions of the Crowned Portcullis Coat of Arms of Parliament can be found in and on the Palace of Westminster.
