In Whitehall, along Main Street, is the Whitehall Municipal Center.
The center is located across the street from the Skenesborough Museum and the Champlain Canal.
The building is a long, single-story brick building with a flat roof. The far left has a fire station. The next main entrance from the left is the door to the municipal center. At the far right is the police station.
The sign by the entrance has the following:

Some facts about Whitehall.
- Population: 4035 (2000 Census)
- It it proud to almost an extreme that they are the "Birthplace of the US Navy." It's on everything from signs to stone markers to the sides of their police cars. The claim alludes to the building of several gun boats and the acquisition of a schooner, directed by Benedict Arnold.
- It is the northern terminus of the Champlain Canal.
