Boston Harborwalk is a public walkway that follows the edge of piers, wharves, beaches, and shoreline around Boston Harbor. When fully completed it will extend a distance of 47 miles (76 km) from East Boston to the Neponset River.

'Dolphins of the Sea,' is a bronze sculpture by the noted sculptor Katharine Lane Weems, is readied for permanent berth at the aquarium. The sculpture, completed when Weems was 80, was the first work of art to be placed on permanent display in the waterfront renewal project.

Katherine Lane Weems pursued a distinguished career as an animal sculptor and several of her works adorn the streets and buildings of Boston. In addition to the four rhinos, she sculpted the work called “Dolphins of the Sea:” six dolphins leaping outside the New England Aquarium.
