This is one of many murals in Ashland that were executed beautifully by the same set of artists in the first decade of the 2000s. This mural depicts life in the 1950s in Ashland. There are seven panels depicting:
  • A family picnic
  • A dance
  • A Texaco station with other nearby buildings
  • A footwear store
  • Ladies posing by classic 1950s cars and an old gas station
  • Ladies in 1950s bathing suits in nearby Lake Superior
  • A man on a 1950s motorcycle outside of a shop
Unfortunately, a tree is growing in front of the last panel, so that it can only be viewed at an acute angle.
