A 1936 gray granite centennial marker on the south shoulder of State Hwy 118, roughly 7 SE of Fort Davis (Jeff Davis County), noting the location of an ancient ranch home during the settlers' western expansion of this part of the state.

Ruins of the Ranch Home of Manuel Musquiz, a pioneer who settled here in 1954 Abandoned due to Indian raids The deserted buildings served as a ranger station intermittently, 1880-1882 while the country was being cleared of Indians and bandits Erected by the State of Texas 1936
