Viroqua is a small town in Wisconsin with a history in agriculture and local business. In the late 1800's through the early 1900's Viroqua was a major tobacco city in Wisconsin. There were multiple warehouses that still stand today. The industrial center of town is also where the Vernon County poor farm was producing produce worked by the residents of the local Alms House and Insane Asylum. All the farming, along with the dairy industry nearby has created an area in Viroqua where there was a need for a second city water tower. There area where the water tower is near includes a Co-op building and an organic farm packer as well as other businesses to include a car dealership. Best place to park is the Co-op building at 1201 North Main Street in Viroqua, WI.
