Boundary Community Hospital has been caring for the community in Bonners Ferry and Boundary County for over 100 years.
Inpatient care focus is a 20 bed acute care facility and a 28 bed extended care facility. There are approximately 190 employees that include doctors, nurses, technicians, other medical support team members, food service and house cleaning staff, and from other departments not mentioned. They have a 5 Star Rating from the Idaho Health Care Association and multiple Jean Schoonover Excellence in Caring Awards.
Outpatient
Boundary Community Hospital Outpatient Services include a complete rehabilitation department; a cardiopulmonary department treating issues with heart and lungs; an outpatient clinic for specialist physicians to see people for issues such as women’s health, orthopedics and cardiology; a complete laboratory for blood and urine testing; and a diagnostic imaging department for CAT scans, mammography, ultrasound, x-rays and MRIs. Our emergency department operates all day, every day. In addition, there is Life Flight Network helicopter transport and Boundary Ambulance Critical Care Transport (CCT) ambulance available in the event a patient needs to be transferred to a different health care facility.
