Red Rocks Park is carved from the red sandstone outcroppings of the Fountain Formation. It is fifteen miles west of downtown Denver. Red Rocks hosts world-class musicians in its outdoor amphitheater, as well as its beautiful hiking and biking trails.
The Visitor Center features interactive educational displays, a short film on its geology, a Performer's Hall of Fame and food at Ship Rock Grille. Daily Tours: 10:00 am (June 1-Oct 1) or by appointment (303-697-6047) $6.00 per person.
