This Commercial Vernacular style building was built on an empty lot in 1912 after the previous building in this location was either destroyed or razed in 1911. The previous building had been an agriculture implement business. The new building first held an unknown paint and hardware store. This building is best known as the home of Hoffman-Neimer Hardware Store beginning in the 1920's.
