A beautiful summit hike to the top of Goose Rock, a small mountain/hill perched on the tip of Whidbey Island, overlooking Deception Pass and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Goose Rock is the best place to go for views of Deception Pass, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Cranberry Lake, and the San Juan Islands. It's a short little 1/2 mile hike from sea level to 461 feet. Be careful with kids as the trail is on the edge of bluffs over the dangerous waters of Deception Pass.
