Georgia Mae Plaza Gazebo is well maintained with Victorian frat-work spandrels and nicely featured Ball and Stick around the lower portion of the octagonal roof typical of most gazebos. It is painted white giving it a fresh look. There are six sections with spindles enclosing most of the lower portion of the gazebo. There are two stairways leading to the interior from the east and west. The balusters are patterned to match the lower sections surround the perimeter of the gazebo and the newel posts rest on the first riser.
This is very nice plaza named for Georgia Mae DeHart, wife of long time pharmacist Stan DeHart. A sign bearing her name is above the main archway of the gazebo. This is a lovely plaza with lush lawn and large shade trees and a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
Seating is not provided inside the gazebo. A concrete walkway leads from the roadways circling the gazebo and there are several picnic tables and dedicated benches for your convenience. One of the dedicated benches is dedicating the park in memory of Stan DeHart.
The plaque transcribed as follows;
