A carved jarrah post of a marron (fresh water crayfish) that can be caught in the local rivers and lakes between January 8th and February 5th by people with a relevant licence, and is one of a group of carved posts that depict the various attractions, industry and mythology of the town, the carvings include trout fishing, fresh-water crayfish farming, engineering,flora and fauna and aboriginal mythology, the carvings are next to the tourist information bay north of town
