Nova Scotia highway webcams are operated by the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR). Most are mounted on tall steel towers which have weather sensors included on the tower. The sensors measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and wind direction and speed. Highway Cameras Page. The page receives up to 250,000 visits per month in winter.
The webcam pic below is more or less real time and will update every 30 to 40 minutes, depending on conditions.
This highway webcam is on the northeast side of Highway 103, here known as the Fisherman's Memorial Highway, just northwest of a gravel road leading to the north. The camera looks southeast down the highway away from publico.
